Update the software of your device.

Having the best possible experience is very important to us. As with any other electronic device (e.g., your smartphone), IQOS too needs occasional software upgrades to keep optimal performance.

There are three ways to update: 

1. Do it directly on our website: click here.
2. Download IQOS App on Android: click here.
3. Or visit the nearest IQOS store in your city: click here.

Instructions for software upgrade by using the website:

1. Before you can update, your IQOS device needs to be charged 25% or more.
2. We recommend updating your device using a desktop or laptop computer. Use the original cable to connect the device with the PC.
3. Access the firmware upgrade web app via Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. This way you will be able to upgrade both the holder and pocket charger.
4. Access the self-service software upgrade web app in the link here.
5. Follow the easy steps on screen.

Notice:

You can also access the website on your smartphone – for Android OS use Google Chrome and for iOS use Bluefy browser (other browsers in iOS will not work). 

By using the smartphone, you will need to connect your device via Bluetooth, and you will be able to upgrade your pocket charger only. 

This method of using the smartphone will work for IQOS Duo Originals models only; IQOS ILUMA models can not update via Bluetooth.

About our updates

We are always looking for ways to improve your IQOS experience. That’s why we optimize the firmware for your IQOS device from time to time. And just like you do with your smartphones and other electronics, upgrading the firmware on your IQOS device will ensure that it’s always performing at its best. 

Upgrading your firmware is voluntary and is not required to maintain your current level of experience. In some instances, an update is technically required to maintain your device, in which case we will let you know.
